Wave - an original monotype in the Ocean Plastics Series by Kate Osman

This original monotype by Kate Osman includes a vivid splash of colour and was made using the discarded ghost nets and fishing line collected during a beach clean at Kimmeridge Bay on the Dorset coast.

It is hugely important to me that our beaches are kept clean and that anything alien washed up is removed. I have over the years used many elements of ghost fishing nets and tideline debis within my work and these monotypes are a new way for me to not only highlight the ocean plastics disaster, but to make something from what we salvage.

An original 5"x3" monotype supplied in an off white 10"x8" mount, signed and dated.
